Chantal Julien lives and works in Sherbrooke, Quebec. A mainly self taught artist, Chantel passion for visual arts began at an early age. Chantel has received a certificate from the University of Sherbrooke in visual arts. Since receiving her certificate, Chantel has been invited to prestigious symposiums and exhibitions, including Sakai and Kyoto in Japan and at the International Festival of Visual Arts of Monastir in Tunisia. Her works are part of many public and private collections in Canada, including Loto-Québec and Sherbrooke City, the United States, Europe and Japan.
She is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA), the Society of Canadian Artists (SCA), the Institute of Representative Arts (IAF), the Coalition of Artists in Visual Arts of Quebec (RAAV) and the Oil painters of America (OPA). She is listed since 1996 in the Biennial Directory of Canadian Artists in galleries Magazin’art. She is represented permanently in the following galleries: Fallen Leaf Gallery (Canmore, Alberta), Ryan Fine Art Gallery, (Port Carling, Ontario), Gainsborough Gallery (Calgary), René Richard (Baie St-Paul), Pierre Séguin (Ile Perrot).
Julien’s paintings strive to bring her vision of the Canadian landscape to life through a mixture of a realist and abstract form.
